Stainless steel is actually a kind of metal material mixed with iron and other metals. Stainless steel pot is more durable, corrosion-resistant and high-strength than ordinary pot.
It is suitable for stainless steel pot. There are three common types: 304L stainless steel, 316L stainless steel and 430 stainless steel.
Chromium and nickel in stainless steel pot can prevent rusting. However, nickel can increase luster. The reason why 304L stainless steel and 316L stainless steel are relatively simple to clean and maintain is that they must be food grade stainless steel. It's just that 316L stainless steel has a little more nickel than 304L stainless steel, which has better antirust function and stronger luster.
430 stainless steel, whose nickel content is less than 1%, is neglected. Compared with 300 series, it is easy to rust. The reason why it is not used to touch food directly is that it is applicable to the bottom of stainless steel pot. Because of its magnetism, it can be applied to electromagnetic furnace.
In addition, to see the number of layers, three layers are common and basic.
There are many advantages of stainless steel, but the heat conduction function of pure stainless steel is not very good, so it usually becomes the way of sandwich. In this way, through the combination of different metals, the advantages of stainless steel are brought into play. Aluminum is usually used in the middle interlayer because of its good heat conduction function, so that the stainless steel pot after the interlayer will not overheat or burn locally, and the heat conduction is fast and even.
So the more layers, the better? Not necessarily.
The five layer stainless steel with aluminum and copper interlayer, compared with the three layers with only aluminum, can be more useful to prevent paste pot and conduct heat faster and more evenly. But if it is all five layers of aluminum interlayer, compared with the general three layers of aluminum interlayer, although it can also conduct heat better, but the body of the pot is heavier. It is better to pay more attention to see whether the interlayer is evenly distributed in the whole pot body rather than just at the bottom of the pot.
